The Thought Leader award recognizes consummate professionals who have distinguished themselves in the industry—in particular, it acknowledges Buffy’s contributions in sharing her voice on an international stage.

Buffy joined Carta in 2016 after more than 25 years in corporate and consulting environments, bringing an arsenal that includes strategic sales management, product management and business development. Projects in Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, US, Latin America and Europe gave her a broad scope of experience and insight that have been foundational to our own international growth. Senior roles and Mastercard, Nets and C-SAM positioned Buffy as a pioneer in mobile wallets and solidified relationships that have been invaluable to our own mobile products. Now she leads business development at Carta as we enable the world’s leaders in payment innovation. She’s instrumental in shaping our partnerships and offering, and continues to be a leader for both men and women in the industry.
